This has been a year of many changes. I first came to Hong Kong in 2015 as a DTS (Discipleship Training School) student with YWAM (Youth With a Mission), Harbour City. After that life changing introduction into the mission field, God called me to join YWAM as a staff member. I’ve grown so much in my relationship with Jesus, leadership, outreach, relationships, working with other cultures, and just learning how to live life in a completely different country.
Sam and Sarah were brought together through their undergraduate studies at The Master’s College. Knowing they shared a mutual desire to devote their lives to foreign missionary work, Sam and Sarah were married in August 2013. After their wedding, Sam began serving on staff at Crossway Church in Keene, NH. Their firm conviction about the centrality of the local church prompted them to spend several years ministering at Crossway. They wanted to serve faithfully and be affirmed in their call and giftedness for missions.
Aloha to those of you who are interested in our upcoming mission trip to Ecuador. Lucho and I are glad you are considering it! We know that each of you has to pray and decide whether or not this is for you and/or your family. Because we start fundraising soon, we do ask that you decide by October 7th whether or not you will participate in the fundraising. You can commit and change your mind if it doesn’t work out.
It’s been 10 years since our last study tour to Israel with Dr. Randy Smith, and many of you have asked us when we are going again. Understanding the Bible in its historical and cultural setting so enriches your study and understanding of God’s Word. Standing in the same airspace and following the footsteps of Biblical people makes a connection to the Bible that can only happen in The Land.
